For what you are going through is nothing new. Many people have that anxiety especially going out with someone you met online. It is worthwhile to spend some time before you jump to any conclusion since you have decided to give him a chance. Have you actually met him yet?

Perhaps you should try to meet him up few more occasions to find out more. It is still too early to tell whether or not it will work out. As you may know, it is always 50:50. The rest it is for both of you to work it out together. Spend a week or two to try understanding each other better before you decide to close the door.
